SWEETS
Sweets is one of three puppies turned in to a shelter with their Mom who is a Norwegian Elkhound.  Dad is an unknown.  Sweets lives up to his name, giving kisses when he gets a chance.  He and his brother Sox have been moved to NJ when their foster mom became ill.  He is up to date on shots and looking for a home. He interacts nicely with a number of dogs and is quick to go to his crate when told it is bedtime.  We estimate that he was born in July 2012.  If you would like to give a home to a sweet boy who is really hoping to meet his best friend, please click here to fill out the application to adopt.  Sweets would love to meet you!

JACK
Jack is a 5 and a half year old, neutered male elkhound who is in need of a home soon!  His current family rescued him as a stray about 4 years ago.  He currently resides with a 9 yr old female husky/shepherd mix and a 5 yr old lab/pit mix, both of whom are alpha to Jack.  As the other male has aged, he has become more aggressive to Jack and recently has gotten the female to join in attacking Jack, resulting in some cuts on Jack.  Jack has never started any fights and is deferential to the other dogs but the situation is getting more dangerous for Jack as the others age.

Jack is well behaved, house trained, and plays well with his canine companions until they get too excited and start to go after him.  He is a bit awkward around strange dogs due to his home situation and stays apart from other dogs in a dog park.  On leash, he tucks his head and tail when encountering other dogs.  He is good with children and with cats.  Jack is heartworm negative and on Sentinel preventative and is up to date on vaccinations.  If you can give Jack a good home where he will be safe and happy, please click here to fill out the application to adopt please click here to fill out the application to adopt and mention Jack's name.  He really wants to find his best home - and that may be you
